As we reported last week, BioWare has been keeping its lips sealed on the development of the next Mass Effect title, which is presumed to take place outside of the original Mass Effect trilogy. In other words, players will not resume the role of Commander Shepard. Beyond Dragon Age: Inquisition, it’s the only game currently known to be in development at the studio.
The game’s producer Yanick Roy stated that their focus is on “doing it right over doing it fast.”
A few days later on March 7, Aaryn Flynn, the GM for BioWare’s Edmonton and Montreal studios made a statement about how time has flown since the release of Mass Effect 3, and how he “can’t wait to get back into that universe.”
He wrote: “Two years to the day since we launched Mass Effect 3. Time flies. Can't wait to get everyone back to that universe.”
It seems like the head honchos at BioWare are keen on reminding us of the Mass Effect franchise every other week, even if they seem determined not to release any solid information about the next game. We’ll keep you updated on that front.
