EA Games has a number of unannounced titles in development, sources at the company revealed today.
In addition to games that've been announced, like Mirror's Edge 2 and Star Wars: Battlefront, and a few that we already know about, but haven't seen, like The Sims 4, EA Games has more than a few titles up their sleeve that they just aren't yet ready to show.
Speaking to CVG, EA Games label chief Patrick Soderlund revealed that the company has a number of unique, and new games in development. He said that whether they were new IPs or existing ones had little relevance, citing Titanfall as an example of a new IP, and Mirror's Edge as an existing IP that remained nonetheless exciting.
"If you look at our [E3] line-up, we showed Titanfall, a brand new IP from Respawn, Mirror's Edge, which is a beloved return for many people, and Star Wars: Battlefront, which I think is a match made in heaven," he said.
"Those are the three main new things, coupled with a game in Battlefield 4, which I think is a really big update to what we had before and a big leap forward in gaming on console and PC.
"On top of that we have a new studio working on Need for Speed. You may say that it's the 18th or 19th version, but go play Rivals and talk to that team and you'll see a passion and dedication to new and fresh things that I haven't seen in a long time on Need for Speed."
The developer says that the company will only present the new IPs it has in development once it's ready to do so.
"In the new cycle you're going to see a lot of new IP from Electronic Arts," he said.
