A new entry in the live-action Halo 4 series Forward Unto Dawn has just been released on Machinima. Running slightly over 17 minutes, the second episode picks up after the events of the first and reveals quite a bit of backstory about the training the cadets undergo at the UNSC.
If you haven’t yet seen the first episode, you should watch that before you follow it up with this one or you’ll have absolutely no idea what’s going on.
The description reads as follows: “Cadet Michael "Sully" Sullivan continues to decode the hidden ONI combat video as Lasky's struggle with his place in the UNSC ignites with fellow cadet Walter Vickers. After a classroom confrontation with Captain Mehaffey and a challenge from Chyler, Lasky pulls Hastati Squad back from the brink…at a terrible physical cost to himself.”
Fans of the series should note that Halo franchise director Frank O’Connor puts in a brilliant performance around the fifth minute into the episode, providing us with an awkward stare and what may well secure him a nomination at the Oscars.
Halo 4 is set for release on November 6 for the Xbox 360.
