It's been awhile since we've heard anything from Irrational Games about their current game-in-development, Bioshock Infinite. Set in a completely new setting from its predecessor and its sequel, Bioshock Infinite takes place on a city in the skies called Columbia, and represents an early 20th century ideal of America—and casts light on everything that's wrong with it.
The colorful yet dystopian setting will play host to a personal drama in which a former Pinkerton agent named Booker DeWitt—played by you—must rescue Elizabeth, a damsel with mysterious powers and the ability to alter the fabric of reality.
After remaining mum on the game's development and postponing its release by a few months, 2K Games and Irrational Games have just posted an update on the game's Facebook page, informing us that a new trailer is set to go live at 7:00AM on Sunday, October 21. That's eleven days from now.
Fans who hit the "Like" button on the Facebook page will open a poll to choose between Elizabeth and Songbird, Zeppelins and Sky-Lines, or Handyman and the Motorized Patriot. Judging from the results, the most-liked choices will be chosen for display in future trailers.
Expect the game to be compared—either fairly or unfairly—against the likes of Bethesda and Arkane Studios' newly released first-person sneaker, Dishonored.
Bioshock Infinite is set for release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 early next year.
