Backbone Entertainment Shutting Down?

October 9, 2012 by Julie Horup

The end is (possibly) nigh.

Reports suggest that Backbone Entertainment may close down.

According to IGN, the American developer is in the middle of lay-offs, which could be the end of the studio, however there's also talk of trying to “keep it going smaller”.

Backbone was established in 2003 and has since then worked on games like Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Death Jr. and LEGO Rock Band.

They were currently working on Midway Arcade Origins, a collection of games from Midway. No word on whether this project is still alive.
