Gearbox has given us the first look of the new Mechromancer class through the character's official Twitter account. Gaige the Mechromancer is coming to Borderlands 2 in a couple of weeks and is set to offer players with a fifth character class to play as.
"Hey everybody! Gaige here. Mechromancer. I mance mechros. Here's a picture of Deathtrap and I looking like BA's," reads the tweet.
Armed with a gun (any type you want) and in command of a mech, Gaige will rip her way across Pandora like a total badass.
Be sure to follow her Twitter account, because she's answering a bunch of questions about pieces of tech she's equipped with right now, which are titled "Electrical Burn", "Sharing is Caring", and "Make it Sparkle."
According to Gaige, "Make it Sparkle" allows her to imbue Deathtrap (her sidekick robot) with any elemental damage type by shooting him with the element.
"So, your normal Deathtrap slashes a dude with his digistruct claws. Which is awesome. But after I make it sparkle with, say, a fire gun… The poor sucker on the end of Deathtrap's claws will be bleeding AND burning AND screaming. SCIENCE, BITCHES."
The Mechromancer DLC will be out on October 16. It's free for anyone who's a part of the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club, which you got for preordering the game. You'll have to pay $9.99 or 800 MS Points for her otherwise.
