The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released to the masses and quickly became a critical acclaim hit. From fans, critics, to developers alike have expressed their joy over the game which released on March 3, 2017, on both the Wii U and their latest hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch.
We reported yesterday that Nintendo would be releasing a making of series which gives viewers an in-depth look at the development process for the latest The Legend of Zelda installment. Likewise, we stated that it was unclear how long the three-part series would be and if Nintendo would release all three parts of the series.
Nintendo did, in fact, release all three parts of the series on YouTube which breaks down the documentary into sections known as The Beginning, Story and Characters, and lastly Open-Air Concept.
Within the series, we learn that the development for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild started in 2013 which faced a number of delays. Furthermore, we learned that the development team has been eager to craft a truly open-world video game within the franchise, but it was only until the Wii U and Nintendo Switch that the developers had enough power in a console to do so.
