You know that image of a typical gamer? Whether they're overweight and greasy or twelve year olds screaming on an FPS game, there's Mountain Dew and Doritos involved. This isn't something that Mountain Dew or Doritos has failed to notice either (I mean, they made the Gamer Fuel flavor after all). In past years PepsiCo has also been involved in promotions aimed at gamers, and this year is no different.
In anticipation of Halo 4's launch, gamers can create an account on DewXp.com or DoritosXP.com to "accelerate Halo 4 specializations, and reveal ultra-new gear and weapons". Then just pick up specially marked packages of Mountain Dew and Doritos, enter the codes found on the package to your account starting October 15, and then pick up Halo 4 when it launches. You'll be able to start pushing Double XP matches to your Gamer tag via either of the aforementioned sites.
Oh and if you want even more XP matches, go to Wal-Mart and pick up both some Doritos AND Mountain Dew for more XP matches and more.
Beginning in late October you can unlock a total of 38 Double XP matches, Halo 4 game content and badges at any 7-11 in the U.S. with a "King of the Hill" mobile app.
"Gaming is in the DNA of DEW Nation," said Brett O'Brien, Vice President of Marketing for Mountain Dew. "We know gamers bring an awesome amount of passion to DEW, and we're excited to help them level-up their Halo experience like never before thanks to Double XP."
Yeah, after drinking all of that, it probably will be in your DNA (I kid; I know that's impossible…probably…)
Are you going to grabs some chips and Dew to grab the perks for Halo 4?
