The popularity of Blizzard’s Diablo 3 may have waned over the past few months, but the studio’s still hard at work on improvements for the game, which it plans to update to v1.0.5 very soon.
In addition to the details that we’ve covered details for the latest patch over the past few weeks, the studio has since published a full list of patch notes on its Public Test Realm, which are slated to go live on the main version of the game once it’s out.
As the development for the patch is on-going, the notes may not necessarily reflect the final version of the patch once it comes out.
The biggest addition to 1.0.5 is the introduction of Monster Power, which functions similarly to the “Players X” feature in Diablo 2, which allows players to give players more control over the difficulty and challenge posed by the game. Doing so will allow players to gain more experience and loot from monsters while playing alone.
The new patch will also see the inclusion of an event called the Infernal Machine, which is designed for Inferno-difficulty players to battle “uber” versions of the bosses. The quest will be long and hard, and will reward players accordingly.
