As part of the Battlefield franchise's 10th-Year Anniversary, DICE is holding a Wake Island challenge for all platforms. Wake Island is, of course, one of Battlefield's most famous maps and was part of the map rotation for Battlefield 1942.
The mission is easy enough, the first platform to complete 19,420 (1942, get it) rounds of Wake Island in Battlefield 3's Back to Karkand expansion will unlock a special new dog tag that the entire community can use, whether on the PS3, Xbox 360 or PC. This first challenge won't exactly see any losers per se, but the sooner people reach their goal, the sooner the dog tags will be unlocked.
DICE will start counting rounds and progress towards the 19,420 milestone on September 27, 5:00 p.m. CET.
Of course, you need to have the Back to Karkand expansion to be able to participate and play on Wake Island. While DICE has not announced it, I assume the rounds apply to both Rush and Conquest game modes.
Any of you participating or are you still busy playing Armored Kill?
