Square Enix has confirmed that NieR: Automata will launch for Steam on March 17th, which isn’t too far too. It’s ten days after its PS4 release on March 7th in the US and March 10th in Europe. However, the demo is only for the PS4, so no there’s no gameplay preview to tide PC gamers over.
The Day One Edition of NieR: Automata will include bonus digital content. You get most of this no matter where you buy the game, but if you pick it up on Steam you also get a special Valve themed item that references the loading screen logo.
The Valve character accessory lets you adorn protagonist 2B with a red Valve over either or both eyes or one placed in her hair.
In addition, pre-ordering the game also gets you the Machine Mask accessory, the Grimoire Weiss Pod, the Retro Grey, Retro Red, and Cardboard Pod Skins alongside the exclusive Valve accessory for 2B.
