Star Wars Games to be Present at Star Wars Celebration Event; Potential Reveals Could Take Place

March 3, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

What game are you expecting to be at Star Wars Celebration?

The official Star Wars website has announced that gaming developers who are working on upcoming Star Wars projects will be present at the event. In addition, some of the games will be playable on the show floor.

EA will be present, showcasing the latest projects they have been working on, which are currently a lot. Not only is DICE working on a Battlefront sequel, but Respawn (Titanfall) and Visceral — two of the top tier developers in the gaming community, are working on some Star Wars game. Perhaps we will see a glimpse or tease inside their upcoming projects.

Star Wars Celebration is almost here, and StarWars.com is excited to reveal some of the gaming content and events you can look forward to — no cheat code required.

EA, creators of Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, and Star Wars: The Old Republic, will be in attendance to showcase the latest on their Star Wars projects. Play the latest Star Wars mobile games, including Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, Star Wars: Pinball, and Star Wars: Force Collection, right on the show floor.

Experience a special Star Wars: The Old Republic Cantina Community event (off-site), featuring a talk with the developers and opportunity to meet the game’s designers.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 has been confirmed to be in development, but has yet to receive an official announcement. While news is still scarce in regards to the upcoming sequel, new statements were made by EA CFO Bale Jorgensen in regards to the current project.

The statements come from a report by GameSpot in which we learn that the upcoming sequel will be dramatically larger than the 2015 release of Star Wars: Battlefront. Likewise, gamers can expect to see plenty of new characters which appear in the latest Star Wars film releases.

Hopefully we hear more about Battlefront 2 and more Star Wars games at the event which is slated to take place April 13-16.
