It seems as if we can expect a new Capcom collection announcement any day now. The development team that has brought out the Mega Man Legacy Collection, Digital Eclipse, is apparently working on another collection, but there’s no word as to what franchise is receiving the next collection.
The announcement came from Digital Eclipse’s Frak Cifaldi as he was recently on the Channel 33 podcast. During his guest appearance, Frak revealed that the development team is still working with Capcom and will be putting out another collection, similar to the collection they released around the Mega Man series.
“I shipped a collection called Mega Man Legacy Collection the year before last, and we’ve got another one coming out soon that they’re gonna announce any day now. I don’t know when. I wish I could talk about it but it’s really cool.”
As mentioned, the Mega Man Legacy Collection has already released and it included the first six main Mega Man video games for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the Nintendo 3DS. However, there is another collection that may be releasing outside of the Mega Man franchise.
Because Capcom has such a long history within the video game industry, there are plenty of series that could see a collection released on current generation consoles and platforms. With the announcement slated to be revealed any day now, we’re eager to hear just what this development team is putting out next.
