We May Wait a Year Before We See the Full Potential of the Xbox Scorpio

The Xbox Scorpio is presumably going to be the most powerful console ever made.

The release date for this demi-god of a console is scheduled for later on this year. But according to Michael Goodman an analyst at Strategy Analytics who spoke to We Write Things, fans may have to wait until next year, or even the year beyond that, before we can experience the true power of the console.

“It is the third or fourth generation titles that really should be able to show the difference. My expectation is that the launch titles on Scorpio aren’t going to be that much more amazing than what you can find elsewhere. It is going to be a year or two down the road when you should start to see the true capability of the platform.” said Goodman.

This makes sense and has been historically true for pretty much all consoles in the past. But the question remains, will third party game developers take advantage of the extra power provided by the Xbox Scorpion?
