Pokemon Black and White 2 aren't the only Pokemon games to look forward to, according to Serebii. Or, at least Japan does–but we saw the previous entries in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon come stateside, so I think its reasonable to assume we'll see the newest iteration, too. It's called Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth, which is a long name!
Get this: the premise is that you're a normal person who gets turned INTO a Pokemon. Freaky. Some of the Pokemon making an appearance are Pikachu (naturally), Oshawott, Axew, Snivy, Tepig, and Gurdurr, Hydreigon and Virizion. Some starter Pokemon, some from Unova. Guess what, the game will be in THREE DEE, but it won't come in two versions like previous mystery dungeon games did. It will, however, come with an alternate reality game in it.
The mystery dungeon games are roguelike Pokemon game made by Chunsoft, the same folks behind the famous Shiren the Wanderer roguelikes. A weird thing to mix–Pokemon and roguelikes, I mean–but it sort of worked, so hey. The previous games got okay reviews, hopefully this new entry improves where the old ones faltered.
The game drops in Japan sometime this year–so if we ever see it, it'll likely be sometime in 2013. You can play Black and White 2 in the meantime though, or hell, maybe even Shiren. No shortage of roguelikes right now, weirdly enough.
