Fans of Team Fortress 2 have long since been able to unlock, earn, and collect vanity items for the game; which come, quite notably, in the form of hats.
This Fall, Valve is calling on its fans to design and create the next batch of items for a new update they plan to release in October. The theme, of course, is Halloween. Creators can submit their work on the Steam Workshop, where they’ll be voted upon by members of the Steam community for consideration by Valve. Fans will have until October 1 to submit their entries.
Those who manage to have their items sold on the MannCo shop can earn a profit from the sales.
The process has already begun, with a few new submissions already making their way into the public spotlight. You can check them out directly at the Steam Workshop.
In addition to releasing new items, festivity-specific costumes released in last year’s Halloween will once again be available for players to wear in celebration of the event. It remains to be seen what Valve does with
