Some rumours have been going around that Overwatch players will be getting a lovey-dovey valentines day and later, an Easter Holiday event just like the previous Year of the Rooster, Christmas Holiday and Halloween events, however much to some players dismay, Blizzard shutdown these prospects over twitter.
Following a new tweet regarding an Easter event, an Overwatch player asked the studio if there was a planned Valentines day event as WoW would be receiving one, but the studio responded stating that they are a different game to the MMORPG and will not be partaking in those kinds of holidays.
The studio did, however, respond to another tweet saying that there are other events in the works.
We're a different game and we've decided to go in another direction. Nothing more than that.
