While Black Ops 2's Hardened and Prestige edition contents might already be known, now you can watch Treyarch boss Mark Lamia and design director David Vonderhaar unbox 'em in front of you.
While these editions were skipped last year for Modern Warfare 3 for some uknown reason, it's back this year and on full force. Back in 2010, the ultimate special edition of Black Ops 1 came with a controllable remote-controlled car — though one that didn't go boom. Now, the Collector's Edition for Black Ops 2 has a fully-functioning Dragonfire Drone that actually flies!
The special "Care Package" edition comes inside an actual Care Package modeled after those in the game. It's one impressive piece of work and what's more, we actually get to see Vonderhaar fly the Dragonfire Drone in the vid!
Aside from the physical stuff, the bundle will also include special in-game items. Thankfully, they're mostly weapon camo and other fluff stuff and nothing that will actually break the game.
In addition to the Care Package, there's also the Hardened Edition of Black Ops 2. Admittedly, the Hardened Edition looks quite tame compared to the Care Package one. Of course, it will also be cheaper, so there's that.
Now that you've seen the Care Package edition, are you willing to shell out close to $180 just to nab one? To be honest, the Dragonfire Drone really entices me that not to the point that I'll shell out that amount.
So, which edition will you be getting or will it be the "vanilla" edition for you when Black Ops 2 ships on November 13?
