Nintendo will once again hold another one of its "Nintendo Direct" livestream presentations later this week.
The event, which will take place on Wednesday, August 29 at 20:00 Japan Time, will be hosted by Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata. If you don't remember, Nintendo held a similar event earlier in the year where they showcased the Wii U's features and a a few games.
However, Nintendo has confirmed that this week's Nintendo Direct will only focus on Wii and the Nintendo 3DS. So, don't expect any Wii U updates from them at all…for that, I suggest waiting till September where Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aime will take the stage on New York to announce "major" news concerning the Wii U.
If you're still interested, you can watch the livestream here once it's live.
Does this mean this "major" Nintendo event in September will be devoid of any 3DS or Wii news? Well, educated speculation is that they'll reveal the Wii U's release date and price at the event; so that could very well be the case…y'know, so no other thing/game can steal its thunder.
Will you be tuning in on Wednesday for the livestream? I honestly am curious as to what they have in store for the Wii at this point.
Thanks, Gematsu
