Mugen Souls is an anime-inspired RPG with free-roaming, turn-based combat and a focus on customization coming to PlayStation 3 on September 28.
Or so it only is for European gamers. Those awaiting the game in the US will have to wait until October 16, to which Mugen Souls has been delayed. The specifics of the delay aren’t quite clear, but in a press release NIS America cited scheduling reasons for the change in date.
The game itself has an interesting, if perhaps dubious, conceit: following the exploits of the protagonist Chou-Chou, the player must fight their way to victory in an unusual battle system that reflects whatever Chou-Chou’s emotions are. To what end must you do this? So that you can help the young girl achieve her goal of transforming into seven forms of herself, gaining control over the game’s seven worlds and making everyone her willing slave.
Sounds like a blast, actually.
