Demakes are a great way for indie developers to show a triple-A title how much they care. They have popped up for Left 4 Dead, Halo and even Team Fortress 2, and now it seems Gearbox has taken it into their own hands to get Borderlands the bit-treatment it deserves. As part of 2K's marketing campaign, they have released a retro Borderlands horde fighter.
Choose one of the four main characters in the upcoming FPS and take on waves of enemies solo. It's very fun to play, with enemies randomly dropping weapon chests that contain two weapons each with their own stats. The enemies get tougher with each completed wave and you are given cash money that adds to your score. After you expend your three lives, you have the chance to tweet your score, share it on Facebook, or see where you land on the leaderboards.
