A host of new Dishonored screenshots (six, to be specific) have been released by Bethesda. The new screenshots showcase the game's unique art direction which looks like nothing we've seen before.
One of the screens portrays a bit of first person combat with the player character firing off a round with his revolver in the direction of two militiamen, while others portray some of the game's well-dressed villains in horrific costume masks that resemble dolls and insects.
Also on display are hound-like creatures, which appear to be in service of the stilt-riding militiamen; gas-masked antagonists armed with long swords standing on platforms; and one of the game's tracked carriages containing a well-dressed masked man in white.
The most haunting image of the lot contains what appears to be a close-up of a plague victim assaulting the main character. He looks battered, bloody, and his skin is utterly palid, with a pained expression on his face. Behind him, another plague victim can be seen crawling towards the player character.
We can expect to see more of Dishonored as the game approaches its release on October 9. It'll be out on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
