No games for your PlayStation Vita? No problem as Sony has announced that the handheld will have access to over one hundred titles from the PSN's PS1 Classics library when the Vita's firmware update 1.8 rolls around.
While they are old games, keep in mind that these are classics like Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Resident Evil 2 and a whole lot more. If you like JRPGs in particular, you will have a blast as the PS1 was the console to own way back when JRPGs was the "big" genre.
In addition to the fimrware update that will let you play PS1 games, it will also activate the PS Vita's "Cross Controller" mode that will let players use their PS Vitas as controllers for the PS3 games that support it.
So, if I were you, I'd stock up on memory cards, buy PSN cards now for the eventual downloading storm that's set to ensue on August 28.
