During this year's Sony Gamescom press conference, Medai Molecule revealed "Tearaway." another charming project that's to be expected from the studio that brought us the LittleBigPlanet franchise and its mascot Sackboy.
Now, the studio has confirmed that it's not only working on Tearaway, but on another project, too. According to the studio, Tearaway is being developed by a group of 15 people — thus giving the rest of the staff (around 40 in total) to work on other things.
We're working on a second project right now, and that's very much in an R&D phase," reveals Media Molecule's Mark Healy. In addition to Healy, studio co-founder Alex Evans adds, "The focus is Tearaway, but Media Molecule is a lot more than 15 people…The other project is very much in an early stage and is a toy. You don't need to worry about it."
If you want to know what this "other" project is, you can see it first-hand as the studio is looking to expand its staff. Other than that, we just have to wait and see if this project is slated for current or next-gen platforms.
What would you like to see the studio handle next?
