Castle Crashers first came out on Xbox 360 in 2008 and saw release on PS3 two years later. Anybody wanting to play it without either of those consoles had probably given up hope by now and with good reason. We're rapidly approaching the fourth anniversary (we're about two weeks shy) and it would probably be understandable on behalf of the developers to think that almost everybody who wanted to play it had, at this point, grumbled their way onto consoles.
So it'll come as a surprise to some that Castle Crashers will end up on PC and available via Steam in the near future. No specific release date was given, but Behemoth said it was coming "soon," so it's probably best to save your pocket money if you want to get into one of the best beat 'em ups made in the last ten years.
The Steam version will support gamepads, cloud saves and local/online multiplayer.
