A new trailer coming from this week’s Gamescom has confirmed suspicions that Rayman Legends will be a Wii U exclusive release. While previous title, Rayman Origins, was released on Xbox 360, PC, PS Vita, PS3, Wii and is planned for a 3DS release, the upcoming Rayman Legends, as the trailer mentions, will be released this year “exclusively on Wii U” despite what many had predicted.
The European trailer mentions that the game is slated for a Christmas release, although whether this means a specific December 25 date is still up in the air. The fact of the matter is that the Wii U has not yet received a specific release date, although rumours suggest the console will drop in November.
This announcement makes Rayman Legends the second Ubisoft Wii U exclusive following ZombiU (which may release later on other platforms.)
