The Rainbow Six: Siege releases its’ new patch update this week and players are in for a massive change. The patch includes new character updates and a new PvP map. The new character updates has everyone on edge because it could potentially change the way players play the game significantly. In the new patch update, the weakest character is getting the most improvement.
In the new update, Tachanka’s (considered the weakest character) turret gains a shield that protects him from headshots in the direction he’s facing. Although it’s still possible to flank him and nail a headshot. The shield can be destroyed as well, provided you feel like wasting your ammo. To compensate for this added protection, the turret will have additional recoil and spread when it’s fired.
Fuze gains an additional cluster charge, and the range at which they’re effective is being expanded. Bandit gets another battery, while Smoke’s gas canisters will be thrown like grenades. Blackbeard gets the short straw thrice: his shield loses HP, the time it takes to aim down sight has increased, and the delay before being able to ADS after sprinting has gone up.
Bartlett University map (previously a non-PvP map) has been adapted for the more competitive game.
The new update comes on December 15th on Ps4, PC, and Xbox One.
