Blizzard has posted a small preview of the upcoming, and much-anticipated patch for Diablo 3—v1.0.4, essentially giving gamers a glimpse of what's in store.
Micah "Bashiok" Whipple wrote that the patch will be released in the "not-too-distant future." Given that they've already enabled Profiles for Diablo 3 characters on their website, it's doubtful that they have anything else on their plate to focus on but the next patch.
The studio plans on rolling out previews for each of the areas that the update will affect with word from each of the game's designers.
According to the preview, the patch will affect system changes; add major improvements and changes to the game's Legendary items and allow them to stand out beyond simply having an orange name; change the way Magic Find works; and finally, each of the game's classes will be rebalanced—for the better.
The developers plan on running interviews and live developer chats surrounding patch 1.0.4 before and after it goes live.
