New content for Hitman will be released this holiday, and in the festive spirit, it will be for a great cause. The content will be available for free, but this is because IO Interactive is asking that the money that would have been spent on the content, instead be donated to the World Cancer research Fund.
“Cancer is something which affects everyone in one way or another at some point in their lives and we at IO wanted to do something to help raise money for Cancer research,” said Hannes Seifert, studio head at IO Interactive.
The mission Holiday Hoarders is set in a decorative Paris with christmas lights, christmas trees and presents everywhere. But every year there is a grinch (and in this case two grinches) who hope to steal christmas. Agent 47 has been tasked with stopping these grinches from stealing christmas.
Players will also be allowed to open presents along the way in the hopes of finding some items that may help their mission. The content also features a surprise guest. No one knows who it is yet, but ho ho hopefully it’s someone good.
The Hitman Holiday Hoarders DLC will release next week on December 13 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
