With Sleeping Dogs' release date roughly less than a week away, Square Enix is pulling out all the stops when it comes to promoting the game.
This time, it's not a pre-order incentive or launch trailer that's used to promote United Front Games' upcoming sandbox action title, but instead, it's a live-action fan-made film.
Now, before you hit play, keep in mind that the short film isn't safe for work or for minors. There's a lot of swearing, a few scenes of drug use and whole lot of violence going on.
The film is directed by Clinton Jones (of Pwnisher TV) and it might remind you of Hong Kong action films — which can only be a good thing, right?
I must say, this is one impressive piece of work. Square Enix did good in hiring these guys to make a gritty Sleeping Dogs flick.
Hopefully, that translates to good sales when Sleeping Dogs gets released on August 14 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
