Minecraft Sells Over Three Million Units on Xbox LIVE Arcade

July 20, 2012 by Alex Co

Indie hit Minecraft is not just a hit Mon the PC, but on the Xbox 360, too! It has now crossed over three million units in sales!

Minecraft seems to be a bigger hit than anybody could have ever thought as the game has now surpassed over three million units sold over on Xbox LIVE! This fact was revealed by none other than Minecraft creator and Mojang founder Markus "Notch" Persson over on his Twitter account. In his tweet, Notch said the following.

I got told Minecraft for XBLA passed three million sales today!

It's worth nothing that Minecraft has already broken Xbox LIVE Arcade games records by selling an impressive 400,000 + units in its first day of release. It reached the one million units sold threshold less than a week later. I'm guessing a congrats are in order, no? The drinks are on you, Notch!

Are you one of the three million who bought Minecraft on the Xbox 360? How are you liking it so far?
