Movies based on games generally tend to not translate well — okay, they suck the big hairy one — if you want to be frank. But fan made adaptations don't necessarily share the same fate.
Take this fake movie trailer for Dishonored. It's not made from scratch but footage from other flicks, but that doesn't diminish its awesomeness.
The trailer, made by YouTube user Bloodrunsclear, attempts to show us how a proper Dishonored movie trailer might be made. While the footage is from a lot of different movies, he does manage to somehow tie all of it into the game's universe and theme.
I'm guessing even Bethesda themselves were impressed as Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing at the company, even tweeted about it to say, "Well Done. '(Fake) Dishonored movie trailer.'"
Dishonored will be out in October for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
