One intrepid Diablo III auctioneer has taken it upon himself to document his Real Money Auction House sales on his blog, "Shit that people buy – in Diablo III." The blogger, who describes himself as "Diablo 2 and Guild Wars veteran," has started the project as a way to describe, demonstrate and explore the complexities of the RMAH as well as provide his own real examples of how items tend to sell compared to their actual value (the picture above is of one such item, as shown on his website).
The blogger describes his perspective on the RMAH and his intentions with making the blog, writing,
"The RMAH is kind of a wild beast compared to the gold auction house. There are people who try to maximize value on their so-called "godly" items, and then there's people putting stuff up for 10$ to see if the system even works. What you will see are items priced at the absurd 250$; and similar, if not better items at 10$. Kind of a hard environment to actually sell anything.
But I have sold things. Lots of things. Thousands of dollars of things (please don't rob me). This blog will review some of the more interesting sales."
