In today’s Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon update, the fully evolved versions of the three starter Pokemon as well as several Alolan region guardian deities have also been unveiled.
Rowlet’s final evolution is Decidueye, Litten’s is Incineroar, and Poppilo’s is Primarina. Cosmog and Alolan Persian have also been discovered today.
The first final form revealed is Decidueye, Rowlet’s final evolution. The Arrow Quill Pokémon Decidueye is a Grass/Ghost type. Decidueye attacks with amazing speed, and plucks arrow quills from its wings to hurl them towards its target with precision. This Pokémon is about to move about while completely masking its presence from others. Decidueye is the only Pokémon capable of learning the move Spirit Shackle. This new Ghost-type move hits an opponent and makes it unable to flee a battle, or be switched out. Its ability is Overgrow.
Incineroar is Litten’s final form known as the Heel Pokémon, and is a Fire/Dark type. As Incineroar’s fighting spirit increases, the flames it produces inside its body burst from its navel and waistline. These flames join together to resemble a championship belt, which it uses to unleash its moves. Incineroar is the only Pokémon able to learn the move Darkest Lariat. This Dark-type physical attack allows Incineroar to deal damage to an enemy while completely ignoring the effects of any stat changes on the enemy. Its ability is Blaze.
Primarina is the fully evolved form of starter Pokémon Popplio and is a Water/Fairy type. As Primarina dances, it releases balloons of water and controls their movements using the sound waves from its voice. Primarina uses some of these balloons to jump on and maneuver in battle, while others explode when touched, which can trigger chained explosions. Primarina is the only Pokémon that can learn Sparkling Aria, a new Water-type special move that heals the burns of any target it strikes. Its ability is Torrent.
In addition, Cosmog and Alolan Persian have also been discovered. Alolan Persian is a dark type Pokémon is highly intelligent and doesn’t like to get attached to its trainer. The round face of the Alolan Persian is a symbol of the rich Alola region and it is held to be a Pokémon of great beauty. It enchants both humans and Pokémon alike with its shining coat. Its ability is Fur Coat/Transition.
The Psychic-type Nebula Pokémon Cosmog is extremely rare, known only to a select few across Alola. Named by the Aether Foundation, Cosmog is very curious, and its gaseous body is so lightweight that it’s sent flying when the wind blows. When light falls on the Pokémon, Cosmog can absorb it and grow bigger, and its ability is Unaware.
There is also a big change in the Alola region, as there is no Pokémon League, but there are plans to construct one on a certain mountain. Also, there is the Battle Tree. This is a place where Trainers who have completed their island challenge, or who are strong enough to have done so, battle each other. You can scout an opponent that you have battled against so they can partner with you and fight alongside you in future battles.
