Gears of War 4 is getting Halloween-themed microtransactions as well as a new mode called Pumpkin Ball, The Coalition has revealed.
The new mode, Pumpkin Ball, is a play on classic Dodgeball mode, that reduces spawn protection and sets the spawn timer to just one second. As players spawn in quickly, they’ll be forced to play the objective rather than focus on killing each other.
Maps will be played at night, including Fallout, Forge, Harbor, Lift and Impact, and you’ll also find Halloween decorations scattered around them. In addition, you’ll receive bonus XP for playing on this mode, which can be accessed through the Events menu under Versus.
A new gear pack is also available, called the Halloween Elite Pack, which includes one guaranteed Epic or Legendary card, which guarantees Day of the Dead Legendary Collection items. There’s no other way to get them.
It’s only available from now until November 1, so grab it while it’s hot.
