Hold on to your seats, Metal Gear fans, as it seems Hideo Kojima might have pulled a "megaton" announcement at this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
Mind you, this purported announcement was apparently shown behond closed doors and wasn't intended to be revealed right away, but here we are.
What we do know is that the image above was purportedly shown at a private screening of the game and sadly, all the images are that blurry.
The title is obviously Metal Gear Solid 5 and has the wording, "Open Ground Reconnaissance Endeavour," or "Ogre" for short. I don't know about you, but this clearly seems to be what Kojima's "Project Ogre" is all about.
Aside from the title, a phrase can be read below that states, "The moment we were cast out of heaven, we became monsters."
There's also two more blurry images which you can see below.
Apart from the images, no other details has been revealed. Also keep in mind that this could be a well-done Photoshop job — though I honestly think this is the real deal.
We've reached out to Konami to seek their official take on this.
So, are you ready for more Metal Gear? Does this mean MGS5 will be appearing on current-gen platforms? What do you want Kojima Productions to do with this one? Less cutscenes? More cutscenes? There's a million and one questions that needs to be answered, so speculate away!
