Batman: Return to Arkham contains remasters of both Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Today, Digital Foundry compared the games on both the PS4 and Xbox One to see which of them ran better, and the PS4 came out on top.
According to the site, the framerate for the PS4 version of Arkham City is higher than on the Xbox One. Both versions of the game runs at the same dynamic resolution of 1080p, which drops to 1600×1080 on the PS4 and 1024×1080 on the Xbox One depending on scene.
Both versions of the game have uncapped framerates, meaning that it can exceed 30fps. The PS4 delivers higher framerates throughout and rarely dips below 30fps, sometimes even running at 60fps. The Xbox One offers lower framerates and can even drop as low as 20fps, but the performance throughout is consistent with the PS4 in some instances.
