Modern Warfare 3 fans will have something to look forward to this month as Infinity Ward has announced that a new map will be going live soon.
Mark Rubin, executive producer at Infinity Ward, has announced on Twitter that one of Modern Warfare 2's most famous maps — Terminal — will be released for Modern Warfare 3. Rubin also reveals that the DLC went into certification at Microsoft on July 2. So if you're a Call of Duty Elite member, you can expect it to be out for you on July 17, while non-premium members can have it the day after.
You know what the best part of this is? The map will be free for everyone! Yep, Activision will finally release free DLC for a Call of Duty game. I honestly never thought this day would come.
Now on to the bad news, while Terminal will be available on July 18 for everyone playing on the Xbox 360, the map still doesn't have a firm release date for the PS3 and PC.
Of course, it's worth noting that most, if not all, Call of Duty DLC is made available to other platforms after its initial 30-day early release on Microsoft's platform; so there's a very good chance this is the case for Terminal, too.
Nonetheless, a free map is a free map, no? Are you excited to get back to the Terminal in Modern Warfare 3? Hopefully, this won't be the last free map Activision will release.
