Ubisoft has just announced that its upcoming drug-fueled, revenge-driven shooter — Fary Cry 3 — is getting a massive delay.
Just how massive? Try a three-month wait compared to its original schedule. It will now ship on December 4 in the US, while it will be available a week earlier in November 29 for European territories.
According to producer Dan Hay, they're delaying the game to "create the best possible gameplay experience." He also adds, "Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players."
If you're unfamiliar with Far Cry 3, it follows the story of Jason Brody; a man stranded on mysterious tropical island and it's up to the player how his story unfolds. Needless to say, there will be lots of gunfights and explosions galore.
Hopefully, the game fares better compared to what we've seen of it so far. Truth be told, what's been revealed so far looked underwhelming.
Of course, Ubisoft's delay puts it snugly past Medal of Honor Warfighter and Black Ops II's releases. No doubt, Ubisoft doesn't want to be any part of this upcoming FPS heavyweight battle, no?
Are you okay with Far Cry 3 being delayed or should they just hold it off till next year so it won't be overshadowed by Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and Halo 4?
