Sega and Relic Entertainment are making Dawn of War III, a real-time strategy set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game will have various factions clashing with each other for control over the galaxy. We’re already pretty familiar in how Space Marines go to battle, but what about the Eldar? A new video helps answer that question.
The attack style of the Eldar is centered around quick strikes, and fading away before the enemy gets a chance to fully retaliate. Their webway portals transport the Eldar armies across the battlefield, giving them additional buffs to their speed and health. Their Eldritch Storm super-ability slows enemies in a radius via a psychic aura, and then lightning strikes finish them off. The Eldar Howling Banshees get up close and scream in their enemy’s face to slow them down before striking. But for a long-range approach, the Eldar Ranger is an excellent stealth unit. Farseer Macha is the leader of these forces – she saw the future of her people and she aims to change destiny. Wrathknight Taldeer is a Super Unit animated to life by Macha, and her paralyzing powers can change the tide of conflict in the Eldar’s favor singlehandedly.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III will arrive in 2017 for PC. To learn more about the game, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
