In case you have missed it, Killer Instinct has a free single-player campaign mode which is called Shadow Lords is now available for everyone. This new mode takes several different elements such as being a part ladder and part story mode, but more importantly, as the game continues to grow its character roster the development team will continue to tweak the campaign.
Within the campaign, players will choose a team of fighters which are tasked with fighting back Gargos before he invades Earth. As mentioned, the main campaign is said to be tweaked and adjusted as more characters are added into the game roaster.
Throughout the campaign, players will earn new loot and KI Gold which can be used to craft game items. This campaign also comes alongside the Killer Instinct: Definitive Edition release which adds all the fighters, stages, costumes, accessories, and a Gold Gargos skin.
