If you tried to stream Bioshock: The Collection this week from your PS4 or Xbox One, you might have realized quite quickly that the game does not allow you to do that.
Publisher 2k has acknowledged that the game does not support streaming, though it did not offer up any context as to why this could be. “Unfortunately, streaming Bioshock: The Collection isn’t an option right now,” they said in a statement, adding that they would report back should this situation change.
Kotaku, who had the first scoop on this story, explains, while some portions of certain games are unable to be streamed, it’s rare for an entire title to be excluded.
However, don’t fret. There are other ways to stream Bioshock: The Collection, just without using the console’s built-in streaming feature.
Bioshock: The Collection features remastered versions of Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock: Infinite came out September 13th for PS4 and Xbox One, and the PC edition comes out today, September 15th.
The compilation was developed by Blind Squirrel Games in collaboration with Irrational Games in the past for Infinite.
