In a totally transparent attempt to make money off of internet memes, gamers can now purchase an “arrow in the knee” for their Xbox Live avatars. It’s selling for 240 Microsoft Points, or $3 in real-people-money, but may cost you your dignity as well.
Who would have thought that one silly line from a guard would explode into such a torrent of saturation? Leave it to the internet to turn something that might have been hilarious into something my mom tells me to prove how “hip” she is.
Honestly, I would pay $10 to never come across that meme ever again. I even removed it from the script in my PC version of Skyrim, so I don’t accidentally slay a whole town for the utterance of one man.
In addition to the worst avatar item in existence, you can deck out your avatar with sets of Elven and Daedric armor, a Dragon Priest mask, and a “Fus Ro Dah” prop.
Much like those friends who “Like” Nickelback on Facebook, if you happen to see someone on your friends list sporting this no-so-fashionable “Arrow in the Knee” you’ll know just what to do with them.
Defriend.
