I think most people will agree that Sony’s conference wasn’t anything spectacular. I would also venture to guess most gamers and critics also weren’t impressed much by Sony’s new peripheral, the Wonderbook. The Wonderbook was revealed along with the only known game as of now, J.K. Rowling’s Book of Spells. The Wonderbook works with the Playstation Move and Playstation Eye to create a augmented reality experience.
In Book of Spells you apparently set everything on fire and cast spells from the Harry Potter universe. Sony held a demonstration of the tech, it seemed to me to be a little glitchy at this state in development. Right now the game seems more like a toy than a game. I’m sure the Harry Potter fans will eat it up, but to me, it just looks like Star Wars: Kinect all over again.
Not much else is known about the game for now. I’m just gonna go ahead and call it now though, this “game” is gonna be pretty god awful. You could just tell by the demo that it will be nothing more than a super expensive and kinda boring toy. I like Harry Potter and all but, this is just going to be a pure cash in.
