In AdVenture Capitalist, Hyper Hippo Games had you working your way up the economic ladder by managing a variety of businesses in what mounted to a Cookie Clicker type strategy game. They’re bringing the game back again in a rather interesting format with AdVenture Communist. While it has the same visual spirit as it’s predecessor, this new title takes the premise in a completely different direction.
The game doesn’t have a trailer right now, but if you wanted to see the game in action there’s a Let’s Play of the current build.
For the glory of the state, you’re put to work. That’s what the narrator guide tells you at the beginning of the game, anyway. Unlike the previous game, this new one has you more manually involved with the five different resources from the get-go: Potatoes, Land, Ore, Weapons, Medicine. They’re all inter-connected to each other by the workers that you hire to produce these commodities (you need to hire farmers to get land workers, etc.). Like AdVenture Capitalist, the Communist edition of the game has a variety of medals to earn for making certain levels of achievement in your work. Taking the place of gold bars, scientists are used to help unlock substantial upgrades to your overall work flow.
If you want to give the game a go, check it out now on Steam Early Access. It’s free to play so you have nothing to lose, really. To keep up with the game as it further develops, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
