EA Comments on Activision VS Vince/Zampella Court Case

May 31, 2012 by Jacob Saylor

EA reached out to Eurogamer, offering up their side of the story concerning the Activision VS Zampella/West trial.

EA reached out to Eurogamer, offering up their side of the story concerning the Activision VS Zampella/West trial, which came to an end via an out-of-court settlement earlier today.

"Activision's refusal to pay their talent and attempt to blame EA were absurd. This settlement is a vindication of Vince and Jason, and the right of creative artists to collect the rewards due for their hard work,” is what a statement issued to the aforementioned Eurogamer stated.

It seems Vince and Zampella have found a new home in EA. Since founding their new studio, Respawn Entertainment, EA has been backing them in nearly all facets of both game development and legal issues.

While it is indeed a good thing that this case has come to an end, no one likes to lose a fight. We’re expecting some form of counter or appeal to be announced in the coming days, as reputation means everything in big business.
