Emily Kaldwin Slices Man and Machine in New Dishonored 2 Video

August 22, 2016 by Nick Monroe

Don’t want to mess around being quiet and sneaky? That’s ok. You don’t have to do things like that.

In the upcoming Dishonored 2 game, Corvo and Emily will both take on the city of Karnaca to solve the mysteries they find themselves in for this game. They’ll have a series of high-profile people they need to seek out, and players will have the option as to how much blood they get on their hands. For some, they’ll take the non-lethal route and try their hardest to not harm even a fly.

But in this new Dishonored 2 gameplay video Bethesda uploaded from Gamescom, this is what happens when choosing to unleash hell as Emily Kaldwin.

The video consists of two parts. In the first section, Emily looms over a courtyard below. She jumps down and takes on her shadow crawler form in order to tear the limbs off guards. When Emily attracts the attention of a group of them, she uses her fate linking powers on the guard mob. After a quick sword fight, she slashes the head off of one guy and in the blink of an eye ALL the guard heads roll. Jumping to the second part, we’re greeted with an interior locale. It appears to be some sort of mechanist’s studio, because we can see fancy contraptions and gizmos thrown about the room. But protecting these metal toys is a group of patrolling robots. Emily uses her tendrils to grapple herself up to a chandelier in the middle of the circular room, then jumps on a robot in the above floor. Using hers sword as if it was a lever, she jams it into the robots neck and pulls it straight off. Nice and clean. But our metallic adversary ain’t dead yet. He doesn’t need any head in order to fight. Shooting and sliding around, Emily attempts to end her enemy’s life. That doesn’t help much though, so she reverts to her sword again, inserting the blade into the robot’s exposed chest to finish it off.

This kind of action is what you can expect in Dishonored 2. The game will grace us on November 11th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. To learn more about the game, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
