Far Cry 3 is currently slated for a September 4th release later this year. Since last year’s E3, information regarding the game and its content has been relatively non-existent.
However, E3 is nearly here once again. In what appears to be a gameplay demo reserved for those attending, we have brought you video that pertains to the game.
The gameplay itself takes you through a short cinematic, explaining the situation and how the scenario came to be. You are inside of a burning building, with a woman – presumably your friend – roped to a chair. Your goal as the player is to reach her, untie her, and escape.
That’s where the gameplay comes in. From what I can tell, Uncharted is going to have a run for its money when this game comes out, as this may very well be a superior “cinematic experience.” Most people would argue that first-person games offer more pathos – or emotion – than third-person games. Far Cry 3 offers some unique and innovative gameplay elements, so check them out below and let us know what you think about the upcoming title.
