During this year’s Gamescom Ubisoft had made a number of big reveals for their upcoming video games lineup. One of those video game titles that was showcased was For Honor. Today we’re getting details regarding the variety of hero classes that will be present in the game.
For Honor is an upcoming hack-and-slash video game that focuses on melee-based combat. Overall, the video game focuses on three factions which are the medieval knights, samurai, and Vikings. Each of these three factions will have four different playable characters which can be further broken down into different classes that will be unique between all three factions.
The four classes within each faction are Vanguards, Assassins, Heavies, and Hybrids. Through the Ubisoft blog post, Vanguards are described to be well-balanced rounded fighters with good defense and attack capabilities. Assassins are fast attackers but are more prone to hits with a low defense. Heavies are your tank characters, they are slow but will deliver some incredibly powerful blows. Lastly, we have the Hybrids, which are a good mix between the three other classes.
It’s worth noting that the characters are broad enough that you won’t find a class within each faction to play similarly. Additionally, Ubisoft revealed that the warriors can be customized further in detail to give your characters a unique look compared to the other players on the battlefield.
So far, Ubisoft has set to release For Honor worldwide next year, February 14, 2017, for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Take a look at the latest trailer from Gamescom posted above along with the game gallery down below.
