While it's apparent now that the next-generation of gaming is almost upon us, that means most studios are hiring more new people to help them with the new projects for their –presumably — new hardware. One more developer we can add to the list is Activision's Infinity Ward.
Infinity Ward needs no introduction, of course. It's the studio that helped shape the modern FPS genre with the launch of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Of course, the studio's former founders and senior leads have departed to form Respawn Entertainment, but that's an entirely different story.
Anyway, Infinity Ward is now working on a new game which they describe as "an exciting unannounced title for next generation console systems."
This info has been gleamed from a job ad on Activision's site, where the studio is looking for a Senior Network Engineer and the job description states:
Come work with the game industry's brightest to design and implement high level network code for an exciting unannounced title for next generation console systems. This role is for experienced programmers that have a passion for games and experience with online infrastructure design and development.
Now, that's worth speculating about, no?
